These pads make the gate feel sturdier and more secure, and they will prevent your kids or pets from pushing the gate over. Each set comes with 4 wall protectors and 4 spindle rods, one for each spindle rod in a typical pressure gate installation.

The soft rubber back pads protect the walls, while the wavy texture provides grip to keep the door from moving. The Baby Gate Rail Adapter for Stairs has an adequate length of 4.9" (125cm), and the extra-long wall mount accessories include screw rod adapter bolts that allow you to adjust the size to fit your stair gate railing.

The main positive feature of these pads is that the center walls have higher lips, which prevents the gate from being popped out of the pad. The rectangular wall cups are usually about 2" x 6" and exert slightly more pressure on the walls than the large circular protectors, but they can fit into places the circular ones won't.

I suggest using the rectangular wall cups in two ways: in the horizontal orientation for all lower gate supports, except in places where your horizontal wall space is only a few inches (such as the bottom of a narrow door frame), to allow you to position the gate as close to the floor as possible; and in the vertical orientation for upper gate supports in a narrow door frame.

The available options include white wall cups and bolts, black wall cups and bolts, grey Y-spindle rods, and brown Y-spindle rods, allowing you to choose the best color match for your needs.
